WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
The current program is designed for people who have been diagnosed within the past 3 years. Future sessions will not have diagnosis time constraints.

Additionally, having a care partner is not required, but care partners are encouraged to participate in the program.

WHAT IS SELF-EFFICACY?
The ability to have influence over the conditions that affect our lives. A scientifically based approach that is effective in helping people with Parkinson’s to develop the motivation and skills to manage PD.

WHO DELIVERS THE PROGRAM?

The course is led by two facilitators, which can be any combination of the following:

  • A person with Parkinson’s
  • A care partner
  • A Parkinson’s specialist such as a physical therapist, licensed clinical social worker, nurse practitioner, or other healthcare professional (HCP)

Each facilitator goes through training to prepare to facilitate a cohort.

HOW OFTEN DOES IT MEET?

The program is eight modules, once every two weeks, for four months. You will have access to an online learning management system where you will find homework, resources, and will have the ability to connect with your facilitators.

Individual class scheduling will be coordinated by each class’s facilitator in conjunction with the director of education. We will create classes based on time zone location for ease of scheduling.
