Trusted Parkinson's Resource
Since 1983
Who We Are
Founded in 1983 by a Metro Detroit physician and a caregiver, the Michigan Parkinson Foundation (MPF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization rooted in community-driven care for the whole family affected by Parkinson’s disease (PD).
As the only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to providing comprehensive Parkinson’s-specific support services statewide, MPF has grown from a small network of support groups into a trusted statewide leader guided by four key pillars: Community, Exercise, Education, and Respite.
MPF is supported by individuals, major gifts, corporate donations, fundraising events, strong community partnerships, and foundation grants. Every dollar raised stays in Michigan, supporting programs and services that individuals with PD and care partners rely on to stay informed, active, and never feel alone on their Parkinson’s journey.
