LIVING WITH & UNDERSTANDING PARKINSON'S DISEASE

A Program for People with Parkinson’s and their Families

This 5-week series, is provided by The Michigan Parkinson Foundation in conjunction with Spectrum Health Medical Group. The series provides information and discussion on all aspects of living with Parkinson’s disease (PD). This program is of value to the newly diagnosed as well as patients and families dealing with PD for several years.

September 12          What is Parkinson's Disease and Managing Medications

September 19          The Role of Physical Therapy, Occupational therapy and Exercise in Managing Parkinson’s

September 26          Speech and Swallowing Issues

October 3                  Managing Non Motor Symptoms of Parkinson’s

October 10                Mental Health Issues: Coping with Depression and Anxiety

The workshops will be presented by health care professionals who specialize in Parkinson’s disease from the Neurosciences | Orthopedic Health Departments of Spectrum Health Medical Group.
