Beyond Medications for Parkinson's Disease: Exercise and Mobility Aids

On June 28, 2018, a program entitled “Beyond Medications for Parkinson Disease: Exercise and Mobility Aids” will be offered at the West Bloomfield Henry Ford Hospital (6777 West Maple Road, West Bloomfield, Michigan). 

Leading this program on healthy lifestyles for Parkinson disease will be our guest speaker, Giselle Petzinger MD, Associate Professor of Neurology and Clinical Scholar at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. Dr. Petzinger is a Parkinson disease specialist and a noted expert and researcher on the role of exercise. Other speakers will also address this topic as well as dance, boxing, yoga, Tai Chi, and other exercise and conditioning programs available in the community. Several mobility aids (including a newly-developed version of the U-Step II Rollator and the Alinker Walking Bike) will be available for demonstration. This program is open to all Parkinson disease patients and their caregivers at no charge. Further information on this mid-day event will be available on the MPF website.
