VIEW OKEMOS 2012 5K RUN RESULTS

On October 3, 2012, the third annual "I Gave My Sole for Parkinson's" Walk-a-thon and 5K Run - Lansing Area was held at Okemos High School stadium and cross country field. Over 500 participants and volunteers participated with high spirits and tons of smiles. Emcees Brandie Hansen of HOM and CAM TV and Hannah Saunders of WILX TV were terrific cheerleaders for the event. The Walk-a-thon and 5K run was not only a lot of fun, but a great success!

More than $31,000 was raised from registration fees and generous donations by people across the state.. These funds will directly benefit people with PD and their families throughout Michigan, as they did this year in helping to fund the establishment of the Orientation to Parkinson's program which is being held on a regular basis in East Lansing. Congratulations to all who participated! Photographs are available for view.

We will be holding our fourth annual Walk-a-thon and 5K Run next year in the same location- date is being determined.
